Thanks. I felt that framing it that way would express the existential angst beneath, and backgrounded by, the weight of prison-like bars that represent the position of the feminine vis-à-vis historically gendered subtexts of the art narrative. The guillotine-like structures recall and invert les tricoteuses and symbolise the separation of the female body and head beneath the tyranny of the masculine gaze in a museum context. It was nothing at all to do with using the wrong framelines in the viewfinder.
