I'd expect it to be extremely busy indeed, especially at weekends. The blockbuster exhibitions are often best seen on late Friday evenings - it's open until 10pm, so getting there at about 7.30 - 8pm should give plenty of time to see it with the least people. At other times, even with timed tickets, you tend to be pushed around the exhibition by the crowds. > If you know of any other interesting goings on we'd be > interested to hear about them. > There's always something. Borough Market is a nice place to meet of chilly a morning for a late-ish breakfast, photo-shoot and meander around. Most of the markets are quite interesting - Smithfield, Brick Lane, Weymouth Street, Camden Lock, Portobello - all worth a visit. Or you could tour the Olympic site by bicycle along the canal towpaths (East London has more canals than Venice. Bit short on Doges, though. Although I suppose there is the Isle Of Doges, or is that a misprint?). The days, of course, are very short - the clocks went back this morning, so you don't get much light, but what you do get is usually very nice for photography.
