I'm reminded of the line from "Jurassic Park". Something like this (paraphrased): "You scientists were so busy figuring out if you COULD do something, you forgot to ask if you SHOULD". I wouldn't reject a bike like that outright, but I really don't see the point of it from any practical standpoint. Not as rigid as metal, nor as lightweight.
