Thanks for looking and commenting, Ann.

In the "mini-GESO," as you called it, the first two shots were an
experiment, and were taken varying the shutter speed to obtain two
different way of showing the falling snow. "The Snow begins" was
intended to capture the size of the flakes, while "the snow
intensifies" was intended to show how fast it was coming down. I now
realize that the latter caption is highly misleading, as the snow in
the first two images is the same, because they were taken only a
minute or two apart!

The larger gallery, on Photo.net, includes most of the images I took
that day, except for ones that were grossly out-of-focus or taken with
incorrect white balance. What I usually do is load a group of shots
to Photo.net so I can move them around and compare them, and pick the
ones I like to process, crop and post elsewhere.

My favorites are the ones of my puppy looking up at the falling snow
(34 & 43) and running around and burying his nose in the snow (61-69).
They are only fun puppy snapshots, however, and of interest only to
our family, as the pup's reaction to his first snow storm. (BTW, the
puppy is now 50 pounds and growing.)
