I looked and looked for a K-5 under $1000 yesterday. Found one for $997 from some store in Jersey. However, they won't say if the warranty is for the USA, or International. They want to sell you a repair warranty for two years for $169. Stinks like grey market. I can't be bothered. So, whipped on over to B&H and bought one I knew I could trust, paid $1199 for body, $20 for two years warranty from Pentax. Pentax Spare battery, battery, Rode Video Microphone, Micro Windjammers for my Sony mikes and the built in one, 2 SanDisk Extreme Pro 8 gig SD cards. Spent $1485 with $1.75 shipping, no tax.
I'll be happy on Thursday. On Friday I'll be listing my K10D. Keeping the K-7 until I get back from my trip in January-February, swinging through the American West & Southwest for 6 weeks. I'm so busy/frazzled right now that I am pretty sure I'll be selling all my film equipment directly to KEH. They've made me a good offer. All I need do is pack it all up and ship it in a few boxes, then wait for the check. On Nov 5, 2011, at 20:13 , Christine Nielsen wrote: > ... at Hunt's photo in the Boston area.
