You'd be a fool not to wear earplugs. They don't block all sound, they attenuate the volume and protect your ears from hearing damage. You'll be able to hear the music fine, and still be able to have a conversation with the people near by.
Besides that, if you are touring with them, you'll know the routine after 2 or 3 stops.
