Well the paid to travel yes but from what I gathered from our conversation after the show is over he is up most of the night editing and getting the photos ready. I also gathered that he takes over a 1000 or more captures during one show.
Not sure what age he is, but I vaguely remember being young once and having stamina enough to go without sleep for long periods of time if there was something interesting going on.
I expect he may get a few non-show photos in along the way ... if nothing else Britney shopping in Paris, Britney shopping in London, Britney shopping in Rome ... he could always turn around and take pictures of the paparazzi while he's at it.
The plus side is it's a paying photography *JOB* and those are getting scarcer than hens teeth. Probably good for building his portfolio as well.
