For the record, I've managed to get AF to work on a bright day with
this sucker attached to a 400mm f/5.6 (on a K10D!). It's a great TC.

I regularly use mine with both the M*300 f4.0 and A*300mm f4.0. Auto
focus works fine at f4.0 thought Pentax recommends f2.8 or faster lenses.
