Thanks, guys... Yes, I agree that the camera is headed in for service. I was just curious if anyone had ever encountered such odd symptoms before, or if it was a classic sign of "sensor meltdown syndrome" or some such. It's a bummer -- she's headed to Italy at the end of the week for a family vacation.
