Yup, got the original and the reply, frank. And in other OT news, my bargain basement Leica M4-2 just arrived back from having its rangefinder adjusted and calibrated. It tracks the lens' focusing ring perfectly now, smooth and precise, and the images coincide perfectly.
Even with a hundred bux for the repair, I'm still about $600 on the plus side of this ... I guess that will be consumed when I have the shutter overhauled some time in the future (testing showed it was a bit off at 1/1000 second: slow on the opening side, fast on the closing side, but not enough to get in the way for the present). Now I just have to find the time to load some film and take some photos with it. That's the real challenge.
