Sorry I should have mentioned... it's a kea which is the world's only mountain 
parrot, endemic to NZ.  As you can see they're a pretty decent size and that 
beak is probably something you wouldn't want to tangle with.

They are not shy... in fact they're highly inquisitive.  And also highly 
destructive.  They have a penchant for ripping apart all of the rubber bits on 
your car: windscreen wipers, rubber window seals, stuff like that.  They're 
also protected so there's not a damn thing you can do about it except chase 
them away (and I think they know that) :)
