Ha!  "Uncle Willy" we called him.  When I was a camp counselor in New Hampshire 
in the late 60s-early 70s we would gather around the TV in the counselors' 
shack just to watch him.

His most memorable broadcast was when a moth got into the studio.  Willy kept 
losing his place as he watched it flutter about.
