I don't think it's so much whether phone cams are the real deal or not. I would have much preferred having a dslr or other better camera with me. However the Android was the only camera I had; it beat the hell out of no camera at all. Just as right now, on the shores of Lake Ontario, it's the best e-mail device I have.
