Access to Nikon system lenses and bodies is, to me, a big plus. The adapted lenses for FourThirds, Micro-FourThirds and M-bayonet mirrorless (Ricoh GXR-M) that have been most successful are pre-AI and AI/AI-S Nikkors. Nikon has produced some superb lenses.
Personally, if I were looking for a low-light animal, I'd buy a Nikon D700 without a second thought, and a Nikon D3s only with thought of how much thinner my wallet was going to be. Simple modification to convert pre-AI to AI-S compatibilty can be done yourself, but I'd have a shop do it. eg: http://www.zi.ku.dk/personal/lhhansen/photo/repair/aimod/aimod.htm G On Sat, Dec 3, 2011 at 1:50 PM, Larry Colen <[email protected]> wrote: > As I've mentioned, my K-5 has been acting wonky.
