G'day all Well, that's 2011 put to bed. The December PUG - The Ravages of Time - is now up for your viewing pleasure. No 'Open Gallery' submissions this month.
You'll find the gallery here (as usual): http://pug.komkon.org/ (you may need to refresh your browser if you see the previous Gallery there) Great stuff as usual, but a few personal favourites: * In the Abandoned School by Dmitry Pavlov - love the tone and contrast in this. * Ghosts on the Wall by Henk Terhell - well seen as an effective abstract. * Please Fully Insert Your Coins by Frank Theriault - nicely grungy. * Good Light in the Badlands by Ken Waller - a different take on the theme and spectacular. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ And so to 2012..... First up - "Minimalist". Submit here: http://pug.komkon.org/submit/ Submission Guidelines here: http://pug.komkon.org/general/autosubmit.html The main requirements are: * Max. pixel dimensions: 800 x 800 pixels * Max file size: 300k * Third party equipment is acceptable provided either the camera body or lens used is Pentax. * If you embed a colour space in the image, it should be sRGB to ensure that the image is displayed correctly on line. * Nominal closing date for submissions: 31 January. As mentioned previously, the 2012 themes are now listed on the Submissions form and, if you're using a calendar that supports the .ics format (eg. Outlook, Google Calendar, Thunderbird with the Lightning add-in), Pete McIntosh has created a .ics file with all the 2012 themes in them, as appointments on the last day of their respective months. You can download the file from the link on the Submission Guidelines page (or use this link: http://pug.komkon.org/general/PUG-themes2011-2012.ics) Thanks Pete!
