I'm the last person to be giving advice on such matters, but I will share this: Once upon a time, we had a camcorder, and it had an unfortunate run-in with an apple juice-box at the bottom of a diaper bag. Not catastrophic, thankfully, but very sticky. A q-tip, dampened with alcohol, run around the buttons & sticky spots seemed to help. (Try at your own risk, etc...)
