Nice shot. But next time tell  him to turn the other way - the lighting would 
have been better on the head if he were going left.
According to Sibley re: Mute swan: "Juvenile [June-Sep] usually white, but may 
be gray-brown." He also notes: "mostly white by Nov." The Trumpeter "immature 
retains gray-brown plumage into first summer." Among the Tundra swan, "some 
acquire mostly white 1st summer plumage by Dec, all by Apr"
