Probably has to do with a capacitor charge having to leak off before giving you the higher sensitivity reading correctly. I'd say that's a normal indicatiion. Of course, my Pentax Spotmeter is older than yours. I don't think I'd worry about it unless the readings you are getting aren't giving you correct exposures.
