I bet the TV Show fact gatherers were lied to as well. Three we tell you about,
8 more in hangars around D.C. and a few other major cities.

There are many cars for the use of the President and his entourage. Major
events get three loaded on a plane, along with a helicopter folded up nicely.
There are at least 6 cars left behind, 3 for local travel in D.C.. If he went
to Phoenix, then San Francisco, a set of cars would be taken to each place a
few days in advance provided they needed to use them while he was there. The
reason the Secret Service and many other law enforcement entities around the
country use those big black armored Explorers and Suburbans is so they can
always have a supply to accompany the Pres. motorcade, transporting the
required personnel and equipment wherever needed. Some are empty.

Whenever Air-force one or Marine one take to the air going and coming, there is
a twin taking off just before or after them. In and around Washington D.C.
there are a minimum of three Marine one's in the air at the same time, one
containing the Pres.

That's one of the flaps that came up when it was advised that the current
helicopters be replaced with more modern version. I believe the one's they are
using now are more than 30 years old. But the cost of constructing a chopper to
the specs needed to fly the Pres. around really upset a lot of congressmen
(unless it would have been built in their state) what with the money crunch. So
they tabled the proposal - under the table.

I disavow any actual knowledge of anything I've written here.
