For those of you who haven't heard already, I ended up winning the AMC photo contest "People's Choice" award (it's a Festivus miracle!) Thanks to everyone who voted. Especially thanks to Peter Loveday because if he hadn't pointed out the lame photograph that was winning at the time I wouldn't have bothered even looking at the contest again until it was over, much less asking other friends to vote.
This photo will be one of the two prints I donate to the charity auction held by my Pan-Mass Challenge cycling team in 2012. These kinds of awards really do help generate bidding.
