When you are measuring light that will indicate 6 and above on your Pentax Spotmeter V and you are looking into the spotmeter viewfinder the needle comes from the right and settles on a number, 6 or above. However when you are measuring light that will read 4 or lower on the meter when you pull the on button the needle will swing all the way from the right to the left and then come up and settle on a reading 4 or below.
