It is said that a good photographer can find art or beauty in the most
mundane of objects.
There is a Pentax photographer who seems determined to prove that
point. He or she has posted an image to the PPG entitled "Dog Shit,"
and yes, the image depicts exactly what the title leads one to expect.
Dog Shit. Lying in the grass.
Art? Humor? Anger? Or perhaps did he or she just have a shitty day?
I have not yet made up my mind. Go and vote on images in the PPG, and
perhaps you will find it and then you can decide for yourself.
Of course, if it is accepted into the gallery, then we can all view it
and debate whether it is art or just a pile of crap.
Based on modern art, I'd ask; Can't it be both?

Don't lose heart! They might want to cut it out, and they'll want to avoid a
lengthily search.
