Poking around on visualscience I saw his predictions for 2011, that got
me to thinking, and coming to the conclusion that Ricoh/Pentax are going
to make some announcements, if not releases, of very creative products.
I wonder if/when they'll release a GXR k-mount module, and whether it'll
be APS, or 24x36. I think that a 24x36 K-mount module for the GXR would
be a brilliant coup. It would work with all of the DA lenses, even if
you have to crop with some of the wider ones. It would give them "full
frame" bragging rights. It would be a lot easier to design and build
than a "full frame" DSLR. It would likely sell a fair number of GXR
bodies to folks with Pentax kits, that want something smaller than a K-5
to carry around, especially those with legacy glass. It wouldn't be a
Pentax, so they wouldn't have to endanger Cotty's hat.
