Hi Bruce:  Thanks for the post--helpful read.  It's interesting this post 
should be about photographing soup.  I had a nasty row  with the blender today 
while pureeing Chickpea Soup a la Provençal;  The thing sputtered, leaked, and 
I got some annoying little burns.  Not fun.  I think I'll stick with the tarts.
