The revised B&W is a big improvement. I really like the color version, too--the differences in colors of old and new wood is intriguing. Nice!

It was a difficult conversion in that there isn't a lot of color in the scene. But I made a second attempt. First, I warmed up the tones in the original RAW file quite a bit. Then I did the conversion in the raw converter rather than PhotoShop and played with the sliders and curves until I was pleased. I also extended the exposure a bit and pushed the black slider. Finally, I added a bit of vignetting.
