Just got back from an enjoyable couple of hours shooting film at a local park with my son-in-law. He was shooting with his Pentax 6x7 and I was shooting with a Pentax 645 which arrived on Saturday.
I was surprised to find that the 645 body came with an unadvertised bonus, a Pentax 645 adapter for 67 lenses. So I shot with my 6x7 135mm Macro on the body, using it for both a few macro and mostly telephoto shots. First 120 film that I have personally shot in many moons. Speaking of moons, a nice 1-day-from-full moon rose in the east, and a snowy owl appeared on top of a nearby telephone pole. We didn't have quite enough reach to do it real justice, but I did catch one if the owl silhouetted against the moon (from a distance). First snowy owl I've ever seen (and a week after my brother-in-law captured one on the ground with his Bigma a couple hundred miles northeast of here), I may go back with my K-x and my 300mm or 400mm and see if I can catch the owl again tomorrow evening. I'm told that if you stay in your car you can get pretty close. First time using this camera, and more than a little rusty, so it will be interesting to see if there are any keepers in the bunch. Shot 2-1/4 rolls of 120 in a couple of hours.
