Using my super-accurate IKEA paper ruler, I get 1-7/8" from camera mount plane to lens-cap. I don't have either of the lenses you mention to compare. You'll need to ask the optics experts re the DFA50. J.C.? The focusing is crazy close. When I used a UV filter on it I could focus on an object actually touching the filter.
