I agree 100% wrt the positioning of the skater, Doug. I would have loved him
making a big arc across the left of the frame with a thin curved wake behind
him. I originally was attracted by the lit wall and reflections on the rink. I
took a few frames then I noticed the skater, who was circling the rocks. This
was the best shot I got.

Then he (of course) skated to the edge of the rink, took off his skates and
left.

Take what you get, I suppose.

:-)

Thanks for the comment!

cheers,
flank

I like the idea, Frank, but I think I'd prefer the skater over to the
left of the leftmost "boulder". I think I see what you're trying to do,
but the skater sort of "disappears" between the rocks unless I force
myself to look at him/her. And maybe half a stop less exposure to bring
out what appear to be patterns in the upstairs lights of the building
behind the rink. All the near-field stuff is silhouetted, anyway.
