Thanks to Frank, Christine, David and Brian for your happy trails messages. We've managed to avoid Maccas completely (so far) and anyway their wifi sucks, barely better than dial-up and flakey as hell. Finally managed a decent wifi at Ainslie Football Club in Canberra, where we're currently awaiting our evening meal.
My recently acquired Panny G2 performed wonderfully in the caves at Jenolan, getting me hundreds of exposures blending ambient and flash while barely using any battery power at all. A minor niggle is that it doesn't allow flash exposure compensation independent of ambient compensation (or else it's buried down the menu and I haven't yet found it). The fully articulated live view screen is magic for low level or tricky arm's length shots. The cave shots are rather mixed in colour temperature so anything I choose to show will need a lot of 'shopping :-( Brian, the road through Taralga was indeed very good, much above my 30+ year old memory of it. David, we did get delayed by about a half hour on the last bends near Jenolan Caves by a tourist coast meeting, while they negotiated their way around each other and all the cars they'd banked up behind :-( regards, Anthony "Of what use is lens and light to those who lack in mind and sight" (Anon) -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
