The more I look at it, the more possible compositions I see. With this one, the rock and the girl make a nice solid base at the bottom of the frame visually supporting the arc of the white water over the top. To accentuate the stability, I'd rotate it a few degrees counter clockwise sot that the rock and girl are closer to horizontal. Another one would be with the girl centered in the frame, the bottom right about where it is and the top at about the top of the white water, and the left just to the right of the big rock on the left. The composition I'd probably choose if it were mine would be very similar to the centered composition, but with the bottom right corner very close to the edges of the rock she's lying on. I was looking at it again, wondering what it would look like in black and white, and was noticing how nice the diagonals of the two rock at the top, which I would have initially cropped because I'm generally more interested in girls than in rocks. I also wonder what a square crop would look like, with the top where it is, and the rock with the girl in the bottom left. It's a great photo, and if I were to look at it longer, I'd probably find several more ways to play with the composition. > > Dan Matyola > http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/danieljmatyola > > > > On Fri, Jan 13, 2012 at 11:37 AM, Larry Colen, [email protected] (From > Droid) <[email protected]> wrote: >> Very nicely shot and rendered.
