I find that the LX won't do something that the Super Program and
Program Plus will do (and I think I used to do this with the ME
super, as well), which gives these A bodies (and, I believe, at
least some of the M bodies) an edge in film loading ease:

After I've stuck the end of the film leader into the Magic Needles,
I don't actually use the winding lever to advance the film, but
instead I just simply rotate the knurled teeth at the lower end of
the take-up spool to the left, using my right thumb to do so. This
is (for me) very easy to do while the rest of my right hand supports
the body (easier than it is to wind the film with the winding
lever).

Since the LX doesn't do the above (the winding lever must be used to
rotate the take-up spool), the LX is (for me) just a little less
easy to load with film.
