I can now vouch for wireless tethering of a Pentax body. In my last portrait shoot, I used an Eye-Fi Pro X2 8GB card in my K20D. I displayed the previews of each shot on my old 12" PowerBook (as I don't have an iPad).
The secret is to only send the lowest rez JPEGs the camera can be set to, otherwise it all takes too long. It works, it's good.
