I think they are extremely well done. The color palettes she has used
appear to be very "right" for the time periods.
The only one that really struck me as "wrong" was the Civil War one.
(Not sure what that says about me).

I'm curious as to the copyright implications of colorizations like
this. If a publication opted for her color version of Hitchcock (for
example) over using the traditional B&W would they be able to license
it from her? Does she need permission from the original copyright
holder to do this and be exempt from copyright claims herself?

I'm not that up on copyright issues across borders. The fact that she
is from Sweden might give her some sort of immunity...?
Just wondering out loud here...

I think her choice of images to colorize are sometimes a bit bizarre.
I can't imagine sitting there and working on the one of the monk
self-immolation for hours and hours, for example.
