I was looking on the Paul C Buff website and found a link to this bit on a rather interesting looking photo: http://strobist.blogspot.com/2011/10/backsplash-on-budget-jaroslav.html
I think it would have been a much better photo if the model wasn't so heavily overprocessed, but I do like the core concept. Poking around on the site brought my attention to this post, which a friend had mentioned just last night: http://strobist.blogspot.com/2012/01/bailing-on-nikon-d4.html with a follow up at http://strobist.blogspot.com/2012/01/qa-down-phase-one-rabbit-hole.html In short, David decided not to spend on the D4, and instead picked up an old Mamiya and a used Phase One back. I'm curious about the cost/performance balance between his setup and a 645D. In the follow up he mentions his reasons, and they are about what I expected. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
