Weegee wins. There are two exhibitions of Maier's work in NY right now and three Weegee's. The gallery we went to was the Steven Kasher

THe Weegee selections were wonderful... the Maier wasn't curated very well. That's why I say Weegee wins.

The Maier's at this gallery are from the Goldstein batch - not the Maloof pieces that we were all discussing last year. The gallery culled what they showed from Goldstein's - which I don't remember ever seeing before - but some of you might have.

Oddly, there are some pages of images from the Goldstein collection
shown on line - which I thought would have been those shown at the gallery but only a few of them were there - and one standout was not
on the gallery page. Not sure what was going on there.

I'm thinking two diffrent people curated the Weegee and the Maier.
My friend who I went with muttered "(Even) I could have done better"
It was a shame. So looking forward to going to the Greenberg gallery
soon to see the bigger show.. which are the photos from the book I
believe (and more?)
