A global press release today revealed that electronics giants Marantz and Denon are to merge their operations under a new joint holding company called D&M Holdings. The deal is expected to be completed by May this year, and Tatsuo Kabumoto, CEO of Marantz, said of it:"The combination of Denon and Marantz... establishes a platform on which we intend to build a world class company in the premium audio visual space."
