I think that it was a model S3, not a S-III.

Subject: BBC Dramadoc with Pentax content

We'll Take Manhattan - about David Bailey and Jean Shrimpton on a visit to
New York in the early 60s to do a fashion shoot for Vogue.

Priceless dialogue when fashion editor Lady Clare Rendlesham says "Mr
Bailey. What is THAT?" "It's a Pentax S-III". "You're not going to spend the
rest of the morning shooting with that thing. It's an amateur camera. A
tourist camera. And you haven't even used a tripod. Where's your tripod and
your medium format camera?"

Well worth a look if you can get BBC iPlayer where you live.

Cheers, Chris
