Man. This kind of stuff just depresses the hell out of me.
That's nothing. I was looking at photos from the dance last night and
was bummed at how rough, out of focus etc. so many of them were. I
can just imagine if I were to drop $30,000 on a kit like that, spend a
day taking photos, then look at them and be smacked upside the face
with incontrovertible proof of how crappy a photographer I am.
That's a good way to look at it, I suppose. Though, I can't help
succumbing to the self-loathing Irish in me and start thinking, "Why the
hell am I even doing this? I'll never have a 'real' camera like that!"
If I didn't enjoy it so much, I'd just chuck it all on a fire and save
myself a great deal of future temptation and expense.
