That's something I find really annoying about rec.photo.equipment.35mm -
90% of the people answering questions about *any* equipment have no hands
on experiences with it. There's just "I've heard that..." or "such-and-such
test reported..." and every possible variation on these themes.

I second this thought. Except for a couple of obnoxious types who've made
into my kill file, the PDML is populated almost entirely of fine, helpful
people.
(Actually, since I *have* a kill file, I can strike the "almost" from that
sentence!)
