According to Thom Hogan, the yellow K-01 is being nicknamed "the
Tonka". I at least find that hysterical.
Reminds me more of Lego colors.
Speaking of Tonka, though (OT) I found a nice Tonka pickup at the
local thrift store and took it home with me because it was of MY ERA
(60s, when Men were Men and Tonka was Tonka). I had no idea what it
was worth, but thought there was a decent chance that it was more than
the $10 they had it priced at. Sure enough, they are bringing north of
$50 in similar condition. Also discovered a whole new world of eBay
sellers who are crafting Tonka replacement parts (pickup tailgates for
$20, tailgate "chains" for $7.50... one guy looks to be clearing
several hundred a week at this.) Who knew?
You need to watch 'American Pickers to keep up on this....
