The A50/2.8 macro is a superb lens and well priced, the close working
distance will not scare away your subjects nor make lighting
problematic. If you are managing with the 18-55 then the A50/2.8 is
probably a good option, I have used it extensively for the same style
of photography that you are engaged in.
