Thanks.  I will try that.

The major problem with this image is that there was a screen between
me and this unusual critter.  I managed to remove most of the screen
in the foreground by putting the lens very close to the screen and
focusing on the lizard, which was a few inches behind it, so that the
screening appears more as background than foreground.  When I tried to
lighten the image a bit, the front screen started to be more apparent,
but I intend to take your advice and try to adjust the levels a bit to
bring it out better.
