I've run the Casino Niagara Marathon, which starts in Buffalo, crosses the Peace Bridge into Canada and ends in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Even post-9/11 it was remarkably little hassle (even for a green card-holder like me): Just show your ID when picking up your race packet at registration and off you go.
