Thanks Ann and thanks everyone who looked

Ann, I was just talking to my non-photographer best friend about this. She still thinks it's about pretty girls, but senses there might be something more. I don't know myself honestly, but I hope so.

Larry, I'm sure there was some sort of zombie walk happening somewhere in town, but I was definitely not invited, which is a shame because the K-5 is fluid-proof and I'd like to test it.

Brian, I've taken my eye off the ball for a bit, but I guess the K-01 wasn't that well received? I don't have a problem with EVFs, Quite like the ones in the Fuji and Panies I have. But they aren't the best for fast changes in lighting. Which is why the K-5 is a nice homecoming for shooting street - hard to beat the excellent design by the blind watchmaker. And I noticed a dip in price of the K-5 when the K-01 came out (you guys have probably already talked about that). That's really why I bought one, that plus the mighty Aussie dollar.

Good to be back.

Nice essay , Derby
They are more interesting to me than those that are simply appreciation of pretty girls - these have more substance and editorial comment and
a bit of mystery. A start of another book?

Hello everyone,

It's been a while, but I bought my first new Pentax in years. I really
wanted the K-5 for the low light ability, but firing it for the first
time, I realised how subtle the shutter sound is, and that it could be a
very nice street camera. Derp.

I left the DA21 at work, so took the DA40 out for a spin today. Very
pleased I am.

More disturbing, while dusting off some lenses this morning, I found my
DA70 is really reluctant to focus, and on the camera, the motor just
beeps in distress. Seems like "didn't use it, lost it". Off to the CR
Kennedy, I guess.
