Thanks Godfrey! Not perfect, but it certainly saves me a fair bit of work :-)
After switching, I lose some adjustments when LR updates the metadata from file. From a quick glance I fortunately get to keep at least Basic and Detail settings. Cropping is reset, tho. I suspect the whole-image adjustments are kept while the "partlies" are lost, but I haven't tried any shots with gradients or adjustment brush yet. Fingers crossed...
