Sigma also has a line of lenses that are designed to work with Canon and Nikon APS-C SLRs as well. So these could be from that line as well.

I don't recall these being discussed before (if I missed it, please forgive me).
Was searching B&H and noticed that Sigma has some new lenses for
Pentax that B&H has listed as "New Item, Not Yet Available". Some have
pricing already set:

12-24mm F4.5-5.6 EX DG ASP HSM II Wide-Angle Zoom Lens (For Pentax)
120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG OS APO HSM AF Lens (For Pentax)
150mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM APO Macro Lens (For Pentax)
180mm f/2.8 APO Macro EX DG OS HSM Lens (for Pentax)
Sigma is very good at making lenses with specifications that are very closely
aligned with what I need and want, and often at relatively reasonable prices.
Unfortunately we get into that old Fast, Sharp, Affordable, pick any two
conundrum.
Not sure whether we want to read anything into this, but all but the
180mm say: "Designed for use with full frame digital SLR cameras".

Gee. Think Sigma knows something that we don't?
Probably that they designed it for use with Nikon and Canon FF DSLRs.

One of these days, I'll have to write up an argument that micro 4/3 are full
frame cameras, because the sensor covers the full frame that the format was
designed for.

Don't lose heart! They might want to cut it out, and they'll want to avoid a
lengthily search.
