First of all that is indeed a wonderful photo; I remember it well and I know I've already passed on that opinion.
As for the contest, I'll echo what many others have already said about it being a popularity contest, the large number of entries giving those at the top of the list an advantage, etc. However all those things were true for the contest that Mark Roberts entered a few months ago and I still voted. I'm not voting because I have to register at what's obviously an advertiser-driven website. I just don't want more of my personal information in the hands of commercial interests. I am getting tired of it. Makes me appreciate our little list all the more...
