Didn't see that, so I probably could have gotten by without upgrading. However, 
I notice Datacolor also says that Spyder 2 doesn't work correctly with LED 
backlight monitors. The iMac 27is an LED backlight. However, the Spyder 2 was 
still doing a good job for me. In any case, I really like the Spyder 4, and I'm 
pleased to have been able to calibrate my second monitor.
