I wouldn't be surprised if the K-5's price doesn't drop quite as much as has historically been the case. It seems to me that the K-5 is the first Pentax DSLR without any significant deficiencies, so it's unlikely that the K-3 or whatever will be as big an improvement over the K-5 as the K-5 was over the K-7, etc., and therefore such a steep discount may not be required to sell the remaining stock. And if the K-r is any indication there may not be a glut of K-5 inventory after the K-3 is released.
