I was unaware of the other meaning of the word "coot", so thanks Bruce... :-)

What Dan describes is exactly what drew me to this image. Glad you
guys saw that too. As to luck in exercise; I believe some luck drips
on anyone that cares to do exercise. Wildlife photography these days
is pretty much about rattling off a lot of frames around any moment
that looks potentially significant. You always have to review your
captures anyhow. To recognise an unsuspected keeper is half a victory.
Or half a failure, according to the mood of the day.
